Disclosure: I am an independent sales consultant of Norwex. All opinions in this post are my own.
For the past six years, I’ve tried a LOT of safe cleaning options. I’ve made my own laundry detergent. I’ve attempted my own dishwasher detergent. I’ve whipped up my own wood polish and window cleaner. I’ve faced a lot of disappointments. The laundry detergent wasn’t that safe. My dishwasher detergent was a disaster. The window cleaner left streaks. And any time I tried to clean with vinegar, it left an odor that my husband eventually banned from our house.
Even when I tried to disguise the vinegar scent by infusing it with citrus peels in a month-long process, it wasn’t effective. The vinegar smell still lingered, and the vinegar was dyed orange – and left orange drips and stains on whatever I cleaned.
All I’ve wanted is a safe way to clean my house that is affordable. And easy cleaning would be a huge bonus, because, truthfully, the natural cleaners just weren’t easy. But the natural, do-it-yourself cleaners were time consuming.
My Norwex experience
I finally heard about Norwex products in June, and immediately knew I found the answer to my cleaning search.
Norwex works toward a mission of improving quality of life by radically reducing the use of chemicals in household and personal care products. Sound familiar? Those have been many of my goals through Accidentally Green.
In the early ’90s, a Norwegian company discovered how microfiber could be used to clean very effectively – just with water. The Norwegian Experience – now known as Norwex – was born.
Norwex’s microfiber is 1/200th the size of a strand of human hair and is knit together with a silver fiber. Silver is naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial, and in Norwex products it naturally eliminates odors, mold, and mildew.
Norwex products end up being affordable because you won’t have to buy cleaning sprays again.
Can you hear my shouts of joy? Not only can I forget about buying cleaning sprays again, but I can forget about making them! For a woman who is always looking for simple solutions to everyday problems, this is a dream come true.
With Norwex, all you need is water and a cleaning cloth.
Using water instead of chemicals or natural cleaning recipes to clean isn’t just safe for me – suddenly, I don’t have to worry about what my young children might find under the kitchen or bathroom sink. Even if they only got into my citrus-infused vinegar, I don’t have to worry about any clean up. All I’m storing now is a few microfiber cloths.
My Norwex crush
When I first heard about Norwex, I was intrigued – and definitely wanted to try these wonder cloths to see if they were actually as good as the claims. After using them in every imaginable cleaning situation, I’ve continued to be amazed and impressed with exactly what one cloth can do.
In fact, I’ve loved Norwex so much – because it’s the best way I’ve found to simply and quickly clean my home and it’s safe – that I’ve become an independent sales consultant. This speaks volumes, because I don’t consider myself a salesperson at all – and I usually avoid any kind of home party. I believe in this product, though.
I’m thrilled that after searching for a safe cleaning alternative for years, I’ve finally found it – and it happens to drastically cut my cleaning time and effort.
