A lot like Monday’s No Shampoo post, I’d like to let you know about the No Soap movement.Believe it or not, people in America are choosing to forgo soap. And they enjoy it. They claim a soapless life helps soften skin and comes without awful odors.

Both GOOD and No More Dirty Looks issued soapless challenges at the beginning of the year – with the exception of using soap on your hands, face and private parts. Aside from better skin, the main reasons are saving money on soap and avoiding toxins and chemicals found in many soaps. (You can read one woman’s soap-free testimony here.)

I don’t know about you, but my soap doesn’t cost THAT much. And I even splurge on the more expensive natural, “safe” soaps so I limit my exposure to toxins like triclosan.
I’m sorry. I may be green, but I’m not THAT green. Because I do have access to relatively healthy soap that doesn’t break my bank – and because I am quite satisfied with the state of my skin right now – I will not try a soap-free lifestyle.
How about you? Do you think you’ll try the soap-free challenge?
