Curious about what is so strange? It’s how some women deal with yeast infections, also known as Candida. As I was researching July’s 101 Amazing Uses for All-Natural Products, I was surprised to learn that plain yogurt and garlic cloves can be used to treat yeast infections. You can eat either food to treat the infection, or you can head straight to the source.
Some women suffering from yeast infections choose to insert plain yogurt into their vaginas. (Insertion methods vary, including tampons, fingers, syringes without needles … or turkey basters.)
Similar to the plain yogurt, women can insert a whole clove of garlic into their vaginas to find relief. As Certified Nurse Midwife Judy Slome Cohain suggests, “Take a clove of fresh garlic and peel off the natural white paper shell that covers it, leaving the clove intact. At bedtime, put the clove into the vagina. In the morning, remove the garlic clove and throw it in the toilet. The garlic often causes the vagina to have a watery discharge. One night’s treatment may be enough to kill the infection, or it might have to be repeated the next night. Continue one or two days until all itchiness is gone. The reason that the treatment is done at bedtime is that there is a connection between the mouth and the vagina. The moment the garlic is placed in the vagina, the taste of the garlic travels up to the mouth. Most people will find this strong flavor annoying during the day, so the treatment is recommended for nighttime.”
All I can say is, I may be green, but I’m not THAT green!

I’ve used Coconut Oil for candida outbreaks in my sensitive areas (i’m male). and that’s worked great for me!
When I was in Japan, I had to resort to yogurt for a yeast infection, because they didn’t have anything in stores to treat it. (Turns out you need a prescription for stuff like Monistat.) I froze the yogurt in an ice cube tray in order to insert it.
