If you’ve read my new eBook, Accidentally Green, you know I’ve transparently shared my family’s story. I’ve explained what has worked for us and what hasn’t worked – along with what has been easy and what’s been difficult.
I would love to hear YOUR personal story. I bet other readers would, too! I’m inviting you to share what you’ve learned along your own green journey. If you’re willing, please answer the following three questions and e-mail me at accidentallygreen@gmail.com:
1. In what ways do you try to live a healthy life?
2. What have been some easy, healthy lifestyle changes?
3. What are some difficult changes?
Finally, please tell me just a little bit about yourself. What city and state do you live in? Are you married? Do you have any children? What’s your profession? Do you have any hobbies or interests? (If you happen to have a blog, please share it!)

Hello Hilary~ I am a stay at home momma of 6. We have always homeschooled and graduated our oldest two years ago. He is now 20. We have three boys and 3 girls: Our oldest son is 20, our second oldest son is 17, our oldest daughter is 16, then daughter 12, baby girl is 10 and our baby boy just turned 2 years old. My husband and I have been married for 22 years. We love the Lord and try to be found in Him daily. My husband is one of the Pastors of our church we started 12 1/2 years ago. We have a family owned Bricking business of almost fifty years, started by my father-n-law. I have been conscious of “green-living” for most of our married life. Growing greener every year. I am cloth diapering due to all the chemicals in the papers and the landfills. We do a garden every Spring and LOVE it. Organic is our goal in everything as much as possible. I buy organic and try to buy fresh or frozen when available. I have switched just this year to all glass products…I am staying away from the plastics…I can not figure how these manufacturers think they are saving money by using poisonous plastics…recycling alone costs more for plastic then glass jars. I use glass storage bowls, and stainless steal in most everything. We have we totally natural and organic even in shampoos, soaps, and all cleaners. I am a big fan of Vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice. Safe for all my children to help clean…I use ECO laundry soap and borax. I just found a natural bleach alternative that I am excited to use. I am always looking for new ideas and healthier foods and preps all the time. I believe that everything we need can be found in the Word of God for our daily living. I sew a lot and have made many of our clothes, blankets and toys . I also love photography especially pictures of my children and God’s creation (Nature). I am planning on writing books. My heart is turned towards children and women’s ministries. I love being a wife and mother. My children are truly my joy in life. I love teaching, and being able to teach those I love so much is such a wonderful blessing. History -Biblical, American & World History are by far my most favorite subjects to teach, followed closely by Literature, Nature Study, and Drawing/Painting. Each of my children have many talents and are blessed with many gifts. Music is a big part of our family life. I think I have shared a good amount of my life with you…LOL I just want to take some time to thank you for your site here. I am enjoying the articles and you are very encouraging. May God continue to bless you and keep you. For His Glory, By His Grace…..Debbie
